It is amazing. The old family recipes, that you thought were family secrets, are plastered all over the internet. This family dish is one of those non-recipe non-directions. I checked and there isn’t one exactly like it.

My Aunt Bunny walked on culinary waters. This slaw so impressed my palette, I asked her for the recipe. She told me there isn't one. The important detail was Uncle Jack Chopped the cabbage very fine. Salt, pepper, mayonnaise, and a can of shrimp.

Chopped Cabbage and Shrimp:

One half head of cabbage finely chopped

One can of shrimp juice and all

Mayonnaise (not too much)

Salt and pepper

Note:

Make this the day before as the salt leaches moisture out from the cabbage. This, along with the shrimp juice and mayonnaise, will form a tasty dressing.
