Another family recipe. Same story. My Grandmother, Ada had three daughters and the whole family could cook. As a matter of fact my sister Ruth said, “We come from a family of good cooks and fine eaters”. Sometimes our family recipes are a little short on details, so a basic cooking knowledge or experience helps.

Aunt Bobbies Ice Cream

6 eggs

2 c sugar

Pinch of salt

2 t vanilla

1 qt. cream (whipped)

milk

Beat eggs, add sugar, salt, vanilla. Mix in whipped cream. Pour into gallon freezing can. Fill with milk to top of freezing can.
