Ada's Custard

This is Grandma Ada’s recipe. There are many recipes for custard. One thing people don’t realize is the difference between a recipe and the technique used to make it. It’s not a matter of messing it up, rather it taking it to the next level.

3 eggs Never beat eggs with a beater

Pinch of salt just a little pinch

2 teaspoons vanilla

Little nutmeg

2 1/2 cups milk

1/2 cup sugar

Put eggs in a bowl. Beat them for a few min. with spoon. Add sugar vanilla salt nutmeg. Add milk & stir it all up good. use pan of water and set bowl it. Turn oven to 300 no hotter & cook 60 min. Mine comes out dandy every time.
